Several days ago, Helena and I went to a Christmas lights display that draws thousands every year. As we made our way from one spectacular scene to the next, we thought about the investment required for a display that uses eight million lights. As beautiful as the lights were that evening, they do not compare to the true Light that came to us in the form of a baby. Over two thousand years ago, God sent a single light to illuminate the whole world…and the cost? His only son. We pray that the light of God will fill your homes and hearts this holiday season; and that this Christmas will be a time of lasting memories with your families and those you love.

Alguns dias atrás, Helena e eu fomos a uma exposição de luzes de Natal que atrai milhares de pessoas anualmente. Ao ver uma cena espetacular atrás da outra, pensamos sobre o investimento necessário para uma exposição dessas que utiliza oito milhões de lâmpadas. Apesar da beleza das luzes naquela noite, nada se compara à verdadeira luz que veio até nós na forma de um bebê. Há mais de dois mil anos atrás, Deus enviou uma única luz para iluminar o mundo inteiro…e o custo? Seu único filho. A nossa oração e que a luz de Deus encha seus lares e corações nesta época festiva; e que esse Natal seja cheio de muitas memórias com suas famílias e aqueles que você ama.
